Description
Power
Extremely well built and stable, the Makita XSC01Z LXT has plenty of power. It is a cordless circular saw with a whopping 3,600 RPM speed. And it’s supported by a lithium-ion battery.
The Makita XSC01Z is built for versatile functionality. It even features a longer run-time with three times more single pass cycle. This means more cutting and less charging.
Then there’s the additional benefit of the rapid battery charger that eliminates power inefficiency.
Since the Makita has a built-in 3,600 RPM capacity so it’s built for metal cutting. It can power through thicker cuts than what standard circular saws are generally used to. It also cuts a lot more faster than others can which is a major bonus about using any of Makita’s XSC LXT cordless saws.
Lots of times, one wonders whether a metal cutting circular saw can be used for wood. Well, in the case of the Makita XSC01Z, you can. The blade is rugged and versatile enough for doubling down on wood as well as it does on metal.
Speaking of which…
Blade
The 30T carbide teeth blade cuts through and through without producing any sparks. It’s also one of the quietest and smoothest blades you’ll come across. It cuts at 5-3/8-inch and can handle all kinds of metals and sheet metals.
The blade is sharp and fast, thanks to the 3,600 RPM speed capacity. Then there is the overall weight of the blade plus the main housing and that’s not more than 6 lbs with the battery.
There’s no doubt that the Makita XSC01Z can’t handle a bit of tough cutting. This includes cutting metal in various forms and shapes. Interestingly, that includes threaded cuts, tubing, conduit, sheet metal, and much more.
Whether you’re an electrician, a plumber, a metal roofer, or a pro-contractor, the Makita sets a standard for metal cutting. So accurate and power-driven, you’ll never feel okay about using anything less.
Ergonomics
The Makita XSC01Z does include LED light for better accessibility. On top of that, the handle has a comfortable grip that prevents both fatigue and instability.
The shape of the saw is such that it feels convenient and solid to hold. And it’s not too bulky either, considering how light it weighs and its super-ergonomic built-in features.
The high-torque motor is cleverly placed in a way that it stays cool and protects against overloading. The parts of the Makita are backed up with Star Protection Computer Controls which means no premature damages, no overheating, and no over discharging.
Changing blades is also quite easy and quick with this circular saw. You know what this means don’t you? You can play around with different tooth blades to match the high-torque and high-cutting speed of the Makita. I recommend the 60 tooth blade.
This is a left-handed circular saw so it is quite user-friendly and intuitive to use. Lightweight, precise, and ideal for cutting metal or wood with easy blade change. I recommend this saw for its impressive portability and accurate cutting.
