Description
Construction / Sturdiness
You’ll love the power and durability of this circular saw. It’s sturdy and easy to hold because it’s cordless. It has a light and practical weight which also makes it portable. With a 184mm circular saw blade and a blade wrench, it weighs less than 8 pounds which makes it convenient.
Many users of this product think of it as a capable and rugged circular saw that is durable but without extra weight.
The solid base is made up of aluminum for better and more concise cuttings. The high-grade material also contributes to less noise and no rattling. There is a rubber over-mold where the blade runs to prevent overloading and overheating. It’s foolproof in that it keeps the blade running smoothly without any unnecessary slip-ups.
The blade is on the left-hand side of the machine with a sturdy rear handle. Overall, the Dewalt MAX DCS570B is a portable powerhouse at an affordable price.
Battery / Longevity
This circular saw kit includes everything. Including 2 batteries that are relatively convenient to use but they do not accurately fall in line with what this circular saw is capable of doing.
I’m talking about the power output of the batteries. It works just fine but falls a bit behind with regards to intense and prolonged use. I don’t see why you couldn’t purchase separate batteries to power up the circular saw. Although that will cost you extra money so be wary of it.
It’s a 5 amp hour battery with a shorter run-time than what professionals are usually accustomed to. And while the rest of the circular saw weighs less and can easily be marked as a lightweight model. The battery adds a lot of weight to the structure of the saw.
So I wouldn’t expect a lot from the battery life as it lacks longevity like the rest of the circular saw, especially the blade.
Blade / Cutting Quality
The Dewalt MAX DCS570B has an electronic brake instead of a mechanical one. This is one of the best qualities of a brushless motor. It improves the cutting performance of the circular saw in comparison to corded electric saws.
What the electronic brake does is it stops the blade as soon as you power off. This does a great deal more for you by preventing accidents and reducing the risk of a serious injury. The blade stop mechanism of the circular saw also avoids any damage to the parts of the machine such as the blade guard or the wrench.
Speaking of the blade guard, the Dewalt has a metal blade guard which is surprisingly strong. Combined with the instantaneous blade brake, it feels really modern and sturdy to use.
The blade plate is designed in an intuitive and ergonomic manner. It lets you see everything while the blade is cutting. Because of this, you’ll find that you can make more precise cuts using this circular saw.
It has a nice, sharp weight with straight and accurate cutting performance. The Dewalt has put some really great features in place to make blade changing fast and easy. Even the adjustments you make to the blade depth and bevel are quick and effective.
